Teen Advisory Group application

Surrey Public Library's Teen Advisory Group is open to any interested teens in Surrey. The group serves in an advisory capacity regarding library services and materials for teens. The group helps to plan and develop teen oriented programs and services. Members also serve the library by staffing youth programs, serving as school liaisons and acting as the library's representatives and ambassadors in the broader teen community. We also discuss and review books, movies, music, websites, eat snacks and have fun!

The Teen Advisory Group meets from 4:00-5:00pm on the last Wednesday of each month in the Fleetwood Library meeting room. Volunteer hours are granted for attending meetings and once a a member, all teen programs. Members play a valuable role for the library and for the Surrey community. Membership also looks great on resumes, job and college applications.

Between Oct - March, the TAG members will also be a Stellar selection group for the 2010/2011 nominees. Extra volunteer hours for every book read!

Anyone interested in joining can fill out an application form, get it signed my a parent and attend the next meeting at the Fleetwood Library. For more information call Julie at 604-598-7354 or email jncalendino@surrey.ca
